Project Management and Operations

Tri-Core project management personnel have experience throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin including the Foothills. Tri-Core supervises all geological aspects of the drilling process from pad construction for diamond drills and truck mounted oilsands drilling programs to sample analysis. This includes ensuring compliance with rigorous internal standards and standard operating procedures for all staff involved and any contractors that fall under Tri-Core’s supervision.

Geological Services

With over 50 years of combined experience our team can provide exceptional geological services for all your wellsite and reservoir evaluation needs. Tri-core has a proven track record of delivering geological services for conventional, unconventional, oil sands, coal bed methane, water disposal, and carbon capture drill programs. Tri-core has experience analyzing and interpreting many rock types including oilsands, sandstone, carbonate, shale/mudstone, salt, coal, and standard drill cuttings evaluation. Tri-Core assembles a meticulous reservoir characterization using a combination of wireline logs, core analysis, well test data, and well performance data for sandstone, carbonate, and unconventional reservoirs.

Geosteering

Tri-Core is experienced in providing on-site and remote geosteering steering services with the delivery of real-time analyses and description of formations using cuttings, gas samples, LWD and MWD.

Water and Injection Wells

Tri- Core can support all your water well drilling needs including water supply, pumping, and injection.

Services include: Drill Management, O&G development, Land & Home Use, Well Testing & Monitoring, Permits and Approvals.

Disposal Wells

Tri-Core is experienced in working with disposal wells targeting subsurface disposal zones for different types of materials including saltwater, brine, industrial wastewater, carbon dioxide, and oil sands waste (SAGD boiler blowdown and solids waste). Tri-Core completes evaluations of reservoirs capable of accepting wastewater (reservoir quality and volumes).

Geothermal Services

Targeting Geothermal Formations for Potential Power Generation and Direct-Use

Project management including the supervision of drilling, the logging of cuttings, and the supervision of flow tests to improve the understanding of the prospective resource. Acquisition of this data allows for in-depth analysis to determine the sub-surface geology, petrophysical characteristics, production thickness, energy reserve area, and an estimation of power generation potential and direct-use opportunities.
